When: Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – 6:30 p.m.
Attendance:
A total of 18 people were in attendance.
Old Business:
Mary Jordan introduced herself along with Trustee Ben Allen and Secretary Michelle Kincaid.
Trustee LeAnn Strate was absent.
Lisa Mounce: O’Fallon Hills received $1450 from Lisa for the year 2021. A reminder: this is a
felony case and being handled by St Charles County and we have no control over the amount of
money she pays.
Past Due Accounts: Any accounts past due $150 or more will be turned over to the attorney
for collection. There were 33 accounts sent for collection, 11 have paid at this time. The
remaining will be served and will be handled through the court system.
Halloween Contest: In 2021 the Trustees added a Halloween decorating contest. The
response was well received and therefore we will continue this along with the Christmas
decoration contest.
New Business:
The trustee met with a representative from Ameren MO to discuss adding up to 10 additional
street lights throughout the subdivision. Once all bids have been received and costs calculated
a final decision will be made regarding placement and number of lights to be added.
The 3 trustees met with our St Charles County councilman, Dave Hammond, in December to
discuss what can be done regarding the ditch drainage along the streets and the lack of adequate fire hydrants. Mr. Hammond was out of town from mid Jan – mid Feb, but is going to
gather information and a follow up meeting will be scheduled for sometime in March.
Q&A
The main concern was speeding cars down the main drag. It was suggested that a few stop
signs be added along the street in hopes of slowing people down. UPDATE: The County Highway department was contacted and a written request must be completed. The approval process can take between 6-12 months. We asked if speed dips could be installed instead. Our roads are maintained by St Charles County; they will NOT allow speed bumps/dips due to emergency vehicles and cleaning of the streets during the winter. Request form will be reviewed at next month’s trustee meeting.
